# How to Edit Your Footer in the Astra Theme

This guide shows how to edit the footer of an Astra-based site: replacing the default footer logo with your own, adjusting footer elements, changing footer menu and copyright text, and publishing the changes.

## Opening the Footer Editor

1. Scroll up and click the **back button**.
2. Scroll down to **Footer** — the editor brings you to the footer area.

## Replacing the Footer Logo

1. You'll see the default logo in the footer. Click the **pencil icon** to edit it.
2. On the left, click **Add Media**.
3. Upload a darker version of your logo (footer backgrounds are typically dark) by dragging and dropping the file.
4. Once uploaded, go to the bottom right and click **Insert Into Post**.
5. On the left-hand side, scroll down and **remove the previous logo**.

## Adjusting Footer Elements

You can adjust elements the same way you did with the header, including the **footer menu** and the **copyright notice**:

- Click on the element you want to change (for example, the copyright text).
- Change out the default text with your own.

## Publishing Your Changes

1. Once you're happy with your changes, go to the top and click **Publish**.
2. After publishing, go to the top left and click the **X** to close the editor.
3. All of the changes you've made to your website are now published and live.
